1.Question: Does the port security can be compromised?
Answer:
No. Port under the LPJ supervision is controlled by armed Auxiliary Police . Ports are also subject to the ISPS (International Ship Port Security Code) as guidelines. Any attempt treachery or crime that occurred in the port area will be charged.
2.Question: Are visitors who want to deal in the port area should have a pass / entry permit?
Answer:
Visitors who wish to deal in the port area must necessarily have a pass / permit access to the port.
3.Question: If so, where should they get the pass/port permit and do they need to bear any cost?
Answer:
Visitors can get the pass / port permit at the pass office located at the entrance to the port. Pass will be charged with an amount of RM40.00 for a period of 3 months, RM 60.00 for a period of 1 year. To renew the pass, users need to pay RM 15.00 only.

5.Question : What is compound payment procedures?
Answer:
- Any compound Payments may be done in the PTP or LPJ payment counter.
- Compound payment must be made within 14 days.
- Individual who fail to do so will be prosecuted in court.
- To make an appeal, the individual may present to the security unit and fill the appeal form.
- Any questions regarding the compound may liaise with the Security Unit at 07-253 4055.
6.Question : How far were port police jurisdiction?
Answer:
Port Police is authorise for all assets under the supervision of Johor Port Authority. Port police also collaborated with the following agencies to enforce the laws:
- Marine Police
- APMM(Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency)
- MKN (Malaysia Security council)
- Malaysia Marine Department
- Royal Malaysian Custom
- Malaysia Immigration Department
- Representatives for agents at the port.
